Mt Mackenzie Frenzy - 24km

Ready to conquer the ultimate climb in Tenterfield? The Mt Mackenzie Frenzy is all bitumen, and all about the climb!   

The first 12km is the race, where you’ll climb 710m, enjoying panoramic views of Tenterfield and the surrounding countryside when you reach the summit. Once everyone has reached the summit, the return ride is a fast-paced, exhilarating descent for 12km back down the way you came.

Note:

 The race portion of the Mt Mackenzie Frenzy is the 12km climb. For safety reasons, the descent will begin following the arrival of all riders at the summit. 

• Ride commences: 8.00am Sunday 2 March 2025, from the Tenterfield Showgrounds
• Cost: $30
• Finish Line: Mt Mackenzie Summit
• Distance: 24km (12km ascent & 12km decent)
• Elevation: 710m
• Terrain: 100% bitumen
• Difficulty: Challenging climb followed by a fast, high-speed downhill ride. 
• Open Road: Riders must exercise caution at all times – local traffic is present and riders will reach high speeds on the decent. 
• Suitable for: gravel bikes, road bikes, mountain bikes, e-bikes & adaptive bikes. All riders should be comfortable with sustained climbs and fast descents. 
• Age limit: 15+ years
