Basket Swamp Bash - 38km

Adaptive ride

The Basket Swamp Bash offers a fast-paced adventure with a mix of downhill thrills and scenic gravel riding. Starting on Lindrook Road (to cut out 20km of bitumen), you'll dive straight into a fast downhill section, followed by a short climb and more thrilling descents as you make your way to Basket Swamp Road.

From there, you'll find a mix of uphill stretches and some fun, fast gravel with a creek crossing to cool off your feet. After navigating some rocky sections and a steady 5km uphill grind, enjoy the exhilarating fast downhill on Mt Lindesay Road, where you’ll feel the rush of speed (but keep your wits about you, the road is still open to traffic).

Finish strong with a quick sprint down Rouse Street, and a final twist before crossing the showground finish line to cheers from the crowd and a well-earned celebration in the race village!

Adaptive Riders

This course is suitable for adaptive riders and hand cycles. There is one creek crossing with a concrete base. It is about 30cm deep with good entry and exit. Be prepared to get a little wet.

NOTE:

Please note this ride starts in at Lindrook Road. If possible we recommend being dropped off at the start by family/friends. Alternatively there is a shuttle bus operating for you to collect your car after the race.
